my galaxy tab tablet has internal memory is almost full 99%, but i have a space in SD card memory, how to move the data and make my internal memory is free?

Here’s how you can move data from your Galaxy Tab’s internal storage to the SD card to free up space:

Using My Files App:

  1. Swipe up from the center of the home screen to access apps.
  2. Find and open the My Files app (often pre-installed on Samsung devices).
  3. You’ll see two main sections: Internal storage and SD card (or similar names depending on your device).
  4. Locate the data you want to move: Tap on “Internal storage” to browse through folders like “Pictures”, “Videos”, “Music”, and “Documents”. These folders might house a significant amount of data you can move.
  5. Select files or folders: Tap and hold on a file or folder to select it. You can also tap the checkboxes at the top right corner to select multiple items.
  6. Move the data: Once you’ve selected the files/folders, tap the More options button (usually three vertical dots). In the menu, choose Move.
  7. Choose the SD card: A menu will appear showing storage locations. Select your SD card. You might see it labeled as “SD card” or similar.
  8. Confirm the move: A confirmation message might appear. Tap Move to proceed.

Tips:

  • Start with large files: Prioritize moving large files like videos and music, as they take up the most space.
  • Check for specific folders: Some apps might store data in specific folders within internal storage. If you know which apps are using a lot of space, navigate to those app folders and move transferable data.
  • Not all data can be moved: System files and app data essential for the tablet’s operation cannot be moved to the SD card.

Alternative Method:

Some Samsung devices might have a dedicated Storage option in the Settings menu. Here’s how to find it:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap on Device care (or Battery and device care).
  3. Look for a section called Storage or Storage usage.
  4. This section should provide an overview of storage usage and might offer options to transfer data to the SD card directly.

By following these steps, you should be able to free up significant space on your Galaxy Tab’s internal storage by moving data to the SD card.
