web design & SEO

A few days ago, one of my customers called me that her website is not working and ask me to check if there is anything wrong. She also sends me a copy of an email from hosting provider. In that email, there is an excessive CPU process usage report. For my customer, she has a shared account, so the web hosting company asks her to upgrade forcefully. She had to pay $900/year for the VPS hosting. Otherwise, the hosting company will suspend her account.

As I investigate her case, I fund that her e-commerce website has been hacked. I found two unknown users in Admin panel of her e-commerce site.  Also, I notice that some particular IP address was numerously visited at this web address. Her e-commerce program is Magento, but it is four years old module, the site was never upgraded or updated ever since the first web designer build this site. This similar case is a typical problem of all small business owner who has the website or e-commerce site for their business. Simply they don’t have time to update or no budget to keep up to upgrade the latest module by their web developers.  In my customer’s case, her e-commerce site keeps the credit card number of the buyers if they paid in credit card directly without using PayPal or PayPal Express payment. I assume that the hacker already took all the credit card numbers and customers address and phone numbers, and their email addresses.  The hacker can break into the website database system to get the valuable information. Some of the hackers embedded the email sending program to send the thousands of email through the victim’s account, but unfortunately, victims are not aware of this criminal act for a months or years until they caught by hosting company security program.  Usually, the hacker is not easily detected by the security program that monitors the particular spike of CPU usage or excessive traffic on the sites.)

Let’s just say, you have a great youtube video to share with everybody, but no one knows that the excellent video exists.

If you have enough money to promote your video, it is very easy. Go to Google Adsense and set up an account and allocate the budget and location of your targeted area. That’s it.. most of other keywords matter will be taken care by Google Adsense team automatically.

But, if you are business owner, you might wonder how to be on top Google search result for your business keywords like you made on youtube.com
Here is some example of mine.

in Google Search: “web design El Sobrante CA”

My youtube video is on 1st page. Also, my Yelp listing is on top of search result.  My next project is promoting my new youtube video in a big city like Oakland California. It will be Web Design Oakland CA USA.

Right now, it is not so much, it is only on 4th page. It requires a lot of work for this videos.
I will update the progress report later on following my blog.

To promote your youtube, you need to give the proper name on youtube title first, then that video URL should be link with keywords. and you will need to post your blog sites. that’s all. and wait for 1 month. and check  your ranking.

Youtube Video SEO

First, you need to make an excellent short video (length is around 2-3min), probably you will put business related photos, videos, then engage with happy, brisk, bright song or music.

Second, posting your video with proper title like this way:  your main keywords + city name, state

Third, in Youtube description, you will put same title name first, and your website URL address  and 10-20 related keywords list from Google keywords planner
In tag section, put comma between all words for example:

Mobile Google Search is Rising – the Google Pubcon | mobile website web page

Google finally raised the hand of mobile search for the mainstream of search trends, which was experimentally conducted in decades.

What does it mean for your business?  It means “huge.”  Perhaps; your business will get a broad impact on daily customer deals in every way.

The worst scenario, “no phone call” from the mobile users, especially young people now, then later in all ages according to the digital age is getting matured. This change, so called “the Pubcon.” that Google will be adding a new mobile index soon, and it will impact all business.

But, luckily the business owner who has an excellent mobile site with well SEO & keywords targeted website, their business will grow like a “big bag” and attract all the customer as a “black hole.”

We anticipate that almost 50% of small firms will be closed their business and medium or large size of companies will get more revenue in next or 2 years.

If you look at the market trends of online, such as eBay and Amazon, many many small online sellers are already gone. Only a few big company who can buy their merchandises at the lower price or factory price from China or India are dwelling well. The speed of change in online business will increase in 2017-2018 according to the “Google Pubcon.”

Therefore, I strongly recommend preparing the change so that you can survive the unprecedented environmental change in the digital internet market.

Here is my list:

1. make your website mobile friendly (you might need to change your site platform.)

2. Improve your website SEO with targeted keywords

3. Remove or avoid the heavy loading medias and make your site’s page load quickly.

4. Hire SEO specialist to monitor/improve your web page ranking over the next few months
